Samsung to debut 12 megapixel beast at MWC ‘09?

While the US carriers are still battling to be the first with an 8-megapixel shooter on their shelves, it looks like Samsung might already be prepping the next round.
According to good ol’ fashion hearsay, Samsung is getting ready to announce the world’s first 12 megapixel camera at Mobile World Congress, which goes down right around 2 weeks from now. We heard that Sony had some cameraphone-ready 12 megapixel CMOS sensors back in last year, so it’s not too crazy to think that Samsung might have similar sensors prepped and packed inside some hardware by now. Samsung’s MWC press conference is on the 16th – so it won’t be too long before we’ll know for sure.
