Queen Latifah Is Just Wright

Queen Latifah has signed on to star in a new rom-com called Just Wright, which we’re guessing is a play on the idea of Mr Right. Yup, we’re going all out on a limb there.

The story’s described as a modern-day Cinderella tale, which sees Latifah play a physical therapist who falls in love with a professional basketball player while she’s helping him recover from a career-threatening injury.

It’s Latifah’s second rom-com after Last Holiday (which we secretly quite liked, but don’t tell anyone). The film started life at Disney years ago, but was put in turnaround and picked up by Fox Searchlight. There’s no word on other casting or a director yet, but expect an announcement on that soon since filming is due to start in late May.
