RED Scarlet gets specs and release windowChicago (IL) – Iomega has introduced an upgraded line of eGo USB hard drives. The new units are available in various colors and capacities, including the 250/320GB Ruby Red, the 320GB sparkling silver and a 320GB midnight blue. The 500GB Iomega eGo BlackBelt – available in June – will ship with a matching power grip belt.
The 2.5-inch portable eGo drives are covered by a 16 mm anodized aluminum shell and weigh approximately 200 grams. Critical data is protected by Iomega’s Drop
The eGo drives ship with a “Y” cable and feature McAfee’s VirusScan Plus, along with a number of native backup options, including QuikProtect, EMC Retrospect Express amd MozyHome Online.
The 250GB Ruby Red eGo model is priced at $84.99; while the 320GB Ruby Red, Midnight Blue and Silver eGo models retail at $94.99. The 500GB Ruby Red – available in June – will sell for $134.99. The 500GB BlackBelt model is expected to debut at $139.99.
