Wii announces new lineup including Vitality Sensor

During E3 Nintendo announced yet another addition to the controllers available for the Wii. Some of the more recent additions have included the Wii Fit and the Wii MotionPlus. Now Nintendo’s latest controller looks like something you’d find in a hospital room.

The Wii Vitality Sensor connects to the main Wii controller through the available accessory port. A player would then attach the sensor to their finger. Using the sensor, games will be able to sense a user’s pulse in addition to other signals being transmitted by the body. No video games have yet to be announced that will support the Wii Vitality Sensor

Another addition to the Wii lineup will be the Wii Fit Plus. The Wii Fit Plus will include the Wii Fit balance board in addition to new software which enhances the original lineup of Wii Fit software activities. Other additional games announced include New Super Mario Bros Wii., Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid: Other M.
