With the popularity of the Cartoon Network’s Clone War series, it’s obvious that the video games would soon follow. Republic Heroes is totally based on the animated series and has nothing to do with the Clone Wars movie. It follows Anakin Skywalker, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and other Jedi and Clones as the try to defeat the Separatist forces intent on ruling the galaxy.
The gameplay can’t be any simpler. You begin controlling Anakin being able to jump, attack and use some Force powers as you run through levels defeating droids. Some of the droids you can jump on top of and control them to destroy other droids, but after awhile, the gameplay gets kind of boring. After awhile that gameplay gets boring as well and you move onto controlling flying vehicles and firing upon other flying vehicles and structures. It gets boring too.
