The Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1 Micro Four Thirds broke cover a few weeks ago, but the press release didn’t include the price. (hate that) Thankfully, a loose -lip Panasonic Suit let it slip that the G1 is going to carry a $799 MSRP here in the States.
We have to be honest, it’s a little higher than we expected. Sure, the camera is a shrunk DSLR, but you can get a hella nice true single lens reflex camera for the same price. Guess you’re just paying for the size. Then again, maybe this exec didn’t know what he was talking about and gave the wrong price.
