Um rumor: Hará Gears of War 3 em 2010
Nick | December 10th 2008
Boas noticias, todo o mundo! Hará outro Gears of War para natal 2010. O nome?

Nintendo doesn’t need to cut the price of the Wii, but let’s speculate anyway
Nick | December 9th 2008
Let’s speculate! Several manufacturers have approached Nintendo about producing the Wii’s accelerometer, presumably for less money than current suppliers do. So, a cheaper accelerometer means a cheaper Wii, right?
We need to face the facts that Nintendo is currently selling as many Wiis as it can ship. (It sold 800,000 Thanksgiving week alone, as Sony and Microsoft fought for the scraps.) Since it clearly doesn’t need to cut the price of the Wii, why should it?

Konami’s teaser site launched, questions emerge
Nick | December 7th 2008
Konami has launched a new teaser site for the next Metal Gear Solid. See for yourself and decide what the green characters mean. I’m not sure any more because I tend to get excited about the series coming to the Xbox 360. But hey, why not?

Square makes pass at Lara Croft, Warner laughs heartily
Nick | December 5th 2008
Earlier today, gaming news site MCV learned that Square Enix is preparing to bid against Warner Interactive in an attempt to purchase Eidos, or at least a part of it. Given the fact that Warner Interactive already owns a percentage of Eidos, and last month they were given the opportunity to buy more shares, industry pundits still expect Warner to close the deal.
Given the financial problems that Eidos has experienced in the last 12 months, [+]
Ridemakerz Builds a Virtual World For Boys Filled With Its Toy Cars
Nick | December 4th 2008
Larry Andreini thinks he can take on Pixar. The founder and CEO of Ridemakerz, a rapidly growing chain of stores where boys can custom-build their own toy cars, is building a virtual world for his 6-to-12-year-old customers and their cars. This virtual world is in closed beta right now, and will launch early next year. So will Pixar’s World of Cars and startup Webcarzz (here’s some good background).
There is a gap on the Web between [+]
Xbox 360 hits 25 million consoles sold, a full 2 years faster than original Xbox
Nick | November 25th 2008
Kudos to Microsoft, which has tricked more people into buying the Xbox 360 then it did the original Xbox. Redmond has sold—well, is projected to sell through the end of this month—some 25 million Xbox 360s. It took the original Xbox, which launched in late 2001, five years to reach that number. Meanwhile, the plucky little 360 will hit that number a mere three years after its own late 2005 launch.

$400 PS3 holiday bundle spotted: 80GB system, Ratchet, Casino Royale
Nick | November 24th 2008
Ha! Check out this Zapruder-quality photo of an upcoming PS3 holiday bundle, taken at a Best Buy. (We’re not sure if it’s Best Buy-exclusive.) If we’re to believe this to be authentic, the bundle contains an 80GB system, Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction and the Blu-ray edition of Casino Royale. (Speaking of which, anyone see Quantum of Solace? I heard mixed things.) All this for $400, meaning you can consider the game or movie [+]

Army to utilize $50M, next-gen FPS training system, 24-hour LAN parties imminent
Nick | November 24th 2008
The Army has been using video games to train, and recruit, for years now but in true government fashion, the system is a tad outdated. The $50 million dollar upcoming shooter however, should feature all the goodies found in today’s latest games and more. The virtual worlds are going to be huge - like 100×100 kilometers - and will allow solders to drive vehicles, pilot UAVs, and do “most anything a soldier does.” The new system [+]More From Social Media
